A little more detail: Go to ScreeningCompanies Pick your industry (type 'ind' then hit tab) - obviously investment banks in this case Then use the business description filter to search for key words (type 'bd' then hit tab) I would also probably filter by company type and make sure you are pulling in public and private.

Since I have no prior work experience, I think the best chance I have at getting an internship (preferably paid) would be to work at a small or midsize firm doing.?
I currently live in Canada, but I would love to work abroad for the experience. I am only fluent in English though, and can only orally communicate in Mandarin. I would be hesitant to work in an all Mandarin work environment though, as it's not THAT good.
Some screens that I haven't figured out are how to limit by company size, or specific city. Industry I understand, though I may not be using the right key words to really narrow down my search. I can isolate geography by province/state, but I don't see anything to further narrow it down by city. Sorry for the long post.

Would be much better off with Thomson or MergerMarket. You can click the screening tab at the top and screen for all transactions using the criteria builder (ie data, industry, public/private). Then when you get your output you can add an output column and search for advisor and add that which should give you what you want. I would honestly just call CIQ or use the IM in the upper right of CapIQ and just ask.that's what they are there for. Going forward anytime it takes you more than a minute or two to find what you are looking for in any of the financial providers I would call and ask. The bank pays alot of money for them.
